SPAN (Synergy/SAGE Parent Action Network) will host our next meeting
on Monday March 3 at 7pm in the
WestWood Media Center. The meeting will
feature Dr. Deborah Ruf, high
intelligence specialist and author of 5
Levels of Gifted, who will speak about intelligence
testing and levels of giftedness. Dr. Ruf has developed a new screening
tool for educators that she will share as well, and she will give away one free
Ruf Estimates (see www.talentigniter.com ) to someone who attends
the talk. Teacher relicensure CEU certificates will be available.
Our final meeting of the
school year will be on Thursday April 3 at 7pm in the WestWood Media
Center. The meeting will feature Anne
Rinkenberger, a Twin Cities therapist who focuses her practice on working with
gifted children and adolescents, who will speak about Supporting the Special Needs of Gifted
Children: Neuroscience Implications for Regulating Emotions and Behavior. Teacher relicensure CEU certificates will be available.
