MN Science Teaching Award

PLSAS teachers Sara Aker and Becky Stark will receive the MnSTA Science Teaching Awards for the elementary and secondary levels. Congratulations!!

Sara Aker and Becky Stark are the elementary and secondary recipients of the 2015 MnSTA (Minnesota Science Teachers Association) Science Teaching Award. The awards will be presented at the Minnesota Conference for Science Education on Friday, Feb. 20 at the Verizon Center in Mankato. They will each receive a $1,000 grant for classroom use. Sara and Becky were chosen because of their excellence in the teaching of science, their many contributions to science education and their impact on students.

Sara is a fifth grade teacher at Redtail Ridge Elementary; Becky is an eighth grade science teacher at Hidden Oaks Middle School.

Middle School Spring Track Registration NOW Open!

Registration is open for the Prior Lake Middle School Track team. Visit the front office for registration information. There is a mandatory meeting set for Tuesday, March 24^th starting right after school.  Track practice starts in only 27 days!

Girls Synchronized Swimming (gr. 7-12) – March 2

Boys/Girls Track & Field (gr. 9-12) – March 9

Softball (gr. 9-12) – Tryouts March 9 -13

9^th grade Baseball – Tryouts March 9-13; Player meeting March 6^th at HS @3:15pm

10^th – 12^th grade Baseball – Tryouts March 16–21; Player meeting March 6^th @3:15pm

Boys Golf (gr. 9 -12) – Tryouts March 23; Info mtg March 4^th @3:10pm in Rm 219 HS

Note:  In order to participate in athletics, students must be registered online through FeePay AND have a current physical on file in the PLHS Activities Office.

Spring Book Fair

Twin Oaks Middle School will be hosting the spring book fair. It will be available during conferences on Tuesday, February 24th from 3:30-5:00pm and Thursday, February 26th from 4:00-7:00pm. Hidden Oaks families are encouraged to attend!
