PLSAS teachers Sara Aker
and Becky Stark will receive the MnSTA Science Teaching Awards for the
elementary and secondary levels. Congratulations!!
Sara Aker and Becky
Stark are the elementary and secondary recipients of the 2015 MnSTA (Minnesota
Science Teachers Association) Science Teaching Award. The awards will be
presented at the Minnesota Conference for Science Education on Friday, Feb. 20
at the Verizon Center in Mankato. They will each receive a $1,000 grant for
classroom use. Sara and Becky were chosen because of their excellence in the
teaching of science, their many contributions to science education and their
impact on students.
Sara is a fifth grade
teacher at Redtail Ridge Elementary; Becky is an eighth grade science teacher
at Hidden Oaks Middle School.
