The Optimist Club received
16 Essays (13 from Hidden Oaks Middle School, 2 from Prior Lake/Savage
High School, and 1 from Perpich Center for Arts Education School).
The Essays have been judged and the first place winner is MacKenzie Sexe
from Prior Lake/Savage High School, second place winner is Katherine Huntington
from Hidden Oaks, and the third place winner is Emma Brostrom from Hidden
Oaks. The three winners will be honored this Wednesday at the Prior Lake
Optimist Club lunch meeting. They will each receive a medallion, a certificate,
an Optimist Creed Plaque, and a cash award. The winning Essay from
MacKenzie will be forwarded to our district for competition and judging.
The district winner will receive the $2500 scholarship.
