Chairman’s Award
The Chairman’s Award is the most
prestigious award that we present at the competition. It honors the teamthat best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the
purpose and goals of our robotics program, both on and off the playing
field. Students that earn this award are not only good role models for
the other 9 robotics teams, but are role models for other athletes in all
sports. They, of course, compete like crazy and try to win the
competition themselves but never at the expense of their competitors.
They realize that all 10 of our teams are actually one larger team and we are
all here together to learn from each other and help each other grow, both
personally and technologically. The award helps keep the central focus of
the Robotics Competition on the goal of inspiring greater levels of respect and
honor for science and technology.
